The New Album by Bon Jovi Is A Low Point For The Band

 

Before its release less than a month ago, Bon Jovi's most recent album, Forever, was well publicized.

 The band's frontman, Jon Bon Jovi, did an amazing amount of marketing for the set's debut as well as a brand-new documentary series about the group. 

The new project had a successful chart debut thanks to all that attention, but a very terrible end was met with it.

Forever debuted on the Billboard 200 at position No. 5. On the list of the most-listened-to albums in the United States, it quickly rose to the band's fifteenth position within the top 10. 50,000 equivalent units were moved by the set in its initial tracking frame. Then, without warning, the title vanished.

The album by Bon Jovi was unable to stay on the Billboard 200 for a second week. 

The album saw a sharp and extremely disappointing decline in its ranking, going from No. 5 to somewhere below No. 200 on the most significant albums list in America.

As of right now, Forever is the first official studio album by Bon Jovi to land on the Billboard 200 in just one week. 

The band only had to contend with the same fate with one more record, Inside Out. 

Though it was a live album, that title only reached as high as No. 196, so its performance isn't exactly similar.

It's common for newly released music by obscure artists to debut lower on the Billboard 200 before eventually going extinct. 

However, it is remarkable for a band as well-known and liked as Bon Jovi to do so, especially with a title that was heavily and persistently marketed. 

It demonstrates how fans of the band who had been following them for a long time flocked to buy copies and stream the album as soon as it became available, and how interest quickly waned after a few days.

Additionally, Forever only had a single appearance on the charts for Top Rock & Alternative Albums and Top Rock Albums. 

Though it did appear on the Top Album Sales list for two frames, it has since been removed from that list as well.

Even though Forever may have vanished from the Billboard charts so swiftly, Bon Jovi is still present.

 Some tallies still have Their Greatest Hits: The Ultimate Collection. 

After moving more than 9,300 equivalent units, it drops to No. 151 on the Billboard 200 this frame, indicating that fans of the group are still interested in their earlier releases, even if they aren't their most recent.
