Former EXO member Tao (also known as Huang Zitao) and former SM Entertainment trainee Xu Yiyang from SM Rookies have officially confirmed their relationship.
On July 14, the couple made their relationship public on the Chinese social media app Douyin. They posted videos where they each revealed a picture of the other on their phone. As they lowered their hands, Tao and Yiyang appeared together, showcasing their relationship. The video then showed them walking through a field, arms around each other, smiling and looking affectionately at each other.
In another post, they shared couple photos taken at a beach. Yiyang captioned the photos of them holding hands, “Make a wish at sunset.”
Meanwhile, Tao posted romantic pictures of them leaning in for a kiss, expressing, “May we always be us ❤️.”
Their announcement has delighted fans who have been following their journeys and supporting their relationship. Fans left comments such as, “Congrats!” and “What a fun way to announce it!”
Tao and Yiyang first met at SM Entertainment in 2014 when she was a trainee and he was already a member of EXO. After their time in Korea, they returned to China where they have since built successful careers in the local entertainment industry.
