Local film critic and director Mansor Puteh dies in an accident

KUALA LUMPUR: Local film director and critic Mansor Puteh died in a road accident in Jalan Alam Damai here today.

Police said the 71-year-old was driving alone towards Taman Leng Sing from Taman Alam Damai when his car skidded and crashed into a divider in the 10:10am incident.

Kuala Lumpur Police Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Department Chief Assistant Commissioner Sarifuddin Mohd Salleh said the victim died instantly due to severe head injuries.

"He was driving a Proton Iswara and was alone in the vehicle at the time of the accident.

"The vehicle is believed to have skidded and hit the center divider," he said.

The case is investigated under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act,
