Byeon Woo-Seok's former fashion industry colleague praises his modeling days: "Top models become top actors"

 

A fashion industry insider recently reminisced about their time working with Byeon Woo-Seok during his modeling days, sparking nostalgic admiration for the actor who has gained significant attention in recent years.

On July 5, the insider took to Instagram to share a series of photos from Byeon Woo-Seok's past photoshoots, accompanied by a heartfelt caption celebrating his current popularity.

In the posted photos, Byeon Woo-Seok effortlessly showcased his versatility as a model, mastering a range of poses that highlighted his photogenic appeal. The insider, reflecting on their experience with him, emphasized not only his professional dedication to perfecting each pose but also his kindness, which left a lasting impression.

They shared, "He worked so hard on his poses and was incredibly kind, which left a lasting impression. As I always say, model-turned-actors like Kang Dong-Won, Nam Joo-Hyuk, Jang Ki-Yong, and now, Byeon Woo-Seok were already great models. Top models become top actors."

The post quickly garnered attention from netizens, who flooded the comments section with praise and admiration for Byeon Woo-Seok's striking looks and talent.

Currently, Byeon Woo-Seok is riding a wave of success following his role in the drama Lovely Runner. Beyond television, he has also been selected as a model for various prestigious brands, spanning finance to cosmetics, becoming a sought-after figure in both the entertainment and fashion industries.

Born in 1991, Byeon Woo-Seok started his modeling career in 2010 before making his breakthrough into acting in 2016. Despite later than some of his peers, his journey to stardom has been marked by resilience and positivity, as noted by fashion designer Ko Tae-Yong on his YouTube channel. Ko expressed, "What I liked most about Byeon Woo-Seok was that, although his peers who started in the same era became actors first, Byeon Woo-Seok took a bit longer. 

"During that process, he must have faced a lot of stress and confusion. Yet, whenever we met, he was always cheerful. Even during tough times, he always smiled."

Byeon Woo-Seok's acting career began with notable roles in dramas such as Dear My Friends and Record My Youth, gradually building a diverse portfolio that includes appearances in Search: WWW, Flower Crew: Joseon Marriage Agency, and Soulmate, among others.

However, it was his portrayal of Ryu Sun-Jae in Lovely Runner that catapulted him into the spotlight as a trending actor.

Byeon Woo-Seok is currently on his first Asia tour fan meeting, having connected with fans in Taiwan, Thailand, the Philippines, Indonesia, and Singapore last month. He is scheduled to meet his Korean fans at Seoul's Jangchung Gymnasium on the 6th and 7th of July before concluding his tour in Hong Kong on the 14th of July.
