The idol was angered by a fan selling his photocards at an unreasonably low price.

 He didn't hold back

An idol expressed his frustration over a fan selling his photocards at a significantly lower price compared to those of his fellow group members. Gao Guei from U:NUS, a hip-hop idol group that debuted in 2023 through the show Atom Boyz in Taiwan, noticed a fan selling photocards of the group members. While selling and trading photocards is common among fans, Gao Guei's cards were priced at $50 TWD (about $1.50 USD) each, whereas other members' cards were listed much higher, with the most expensive at $1,300 TWD (about $40 USD). This led Gao Guei to comment on the situation, although his post has since been deleted.

Fans initially perceived his remarks as a joke, but this reaction did not sit well with netizens:

“I heard the fans are claiming he was just kidding. To me, if he were just kidding, he would’ve responded with, ‘I’ll quickly transfer you the money and buy all of them.'”
“Even BLACKPINK has photocards priced at $50. What is he so mad for? Does he think we look down on BLACKPINK?”
“This is funny. Some people even say this is his style. Does that mean he can make inappropriate jokes and hate on others, just because it’s his “style?” How narcissistic would one have to be to act like this?”
“Yeah, I’m looking down on him. I wouldn’t want the photocards even if he gave me $100,000.”
“I feel bad for that young fan…she’s getting hated on even now.”
