Kylie Jenner Is 'Protective' of Timothée Chalamet Relationship but Always Talks About Him with 'a Huge Smile' : Source

 "She really likes so many things about him," a source tells PEOPLE of Jenner and Chalamet.

Kylie Jenner and Timothée Chalamet are thriving!

The couple, who have kept most of their relationship under wraps, are still going strong, a source tells PEOPLE. Despite being on different coasts, the insider says the two still make sure they can spend time together.

"Things are going great with Timothée. Kylie is happy," the source says. "They are both busy, but making time to see each other, especially on the weekends. He's been working in N.Y.C. She's visited him and he's also been back to L.A. some weekends. They're making it work."

The source adds that The Kardashians star, 26, doesn't want their relationship in the public eye, but it is clear to those around her that she really likes the Dune actor, 28.

"Kylie is protective of the relationship, but whenever she talks about him, she has a huge smile," the source says. "She really likes so many things about him."

PEOPLE has reached out to reps for Jenner and Chalamet.

The pair were first spotted together kissing at Beyoncé's Renaissance World Tour in September 2023, several months after rumors swirled that they were linked romantically. They then enjoyed an outing at New York Fashion Week and the U.S. Open, when a source told PEOPLE their relationship was "fun and uncomplicated."

"They have been seeing each other for six months now. He makes Kylie happy," the insider said. "He has his own life and understands that Kylie needs to prioritize her kids."

In January 2204, the actor and Jenner sat beside one another at the Golden Globes, where Chalamet was nominated for Wonka. They even shared a sweet kiss for the cameras.

After that, the duo was not photographed together for five months - that is until recently when photographs caught the couple walking into the TCL Chinese Theatre in Hollywood.

Jenner previously dated Travis Scott - with whom she shares two children, daughter Stormi, 6, and son Aire, 2 - off and on for six years.

They first split in 2019 before rekindling and having their second child in 2022. Less than a year later, in January 2023, a source told PEOPLE that Jenner is "not with" the rapper but that "this is probably not the end of their relationship."

As for Chalamet, he has largely kept his relationship status private throughout his career, though he was linked to Lily-Rose Depp from 2018 to 2020 and then briefly seemed to be seeing Eiza González later that year.
